Preecha Raksorn, is a Thai contemporary artist from Suphan Buri who graduated from the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University as a skilled painter who works in many styles, especially the bold and deft realistic paintings which appear in this exhibition. The artist mentions the exhibition’s name The Sleeping Spirit “These images, therefore, emerge as I am defeated by the habit of doing the same thing over and over again, like a spirit that never wanted to be reborn. Retrospective: Celebrating 70 Years of Liu Kuo-Sung’s Artistic Journey In this extraordinary exhibition titled “Liu Kuo-Sung: Experimentation as Method,” Liu Kuo-Sung, one of the foremost contemporary Chinese ink painters, showcases a comprehensive collection of his artworks spanning 70 years. The exhibition features astonishing display of over 150 pieces, including 60 ink paintings and various personal artifacts, all meticulously curated to trace Liu Kuo-Sung’s artistic journey. The artworks are arranged chronologically, offering a profound insight into the evolution of his ideas and artistic style throughout seven decades, from the 1950s to 2020. The exhibition “The Garden of Earthly Delights” at Wynn Palace Macao was one of the highlights in Art Macao 2019, the first edition of its international art exhibition took over 33 museums and landmarks across Macao during five months from June – October 2019.
