Introducing the Live Launch of Binance’s NFT Market
Binance has organized a special auction collection called “Genesis Rebegetting from the tangibles.” It features the NFT artworks “Three Self-Portraits” by the pop art icon, Andy Warhol, and the master of surrealism, Salvador Dali. These artworks have been recreated and made available for bidding as NFTs for a period of five days, starting from today until June 29, 2564.
The Artworks “Three Self-Portraits” by Andy Warhol
Starting with Andy Warhol’s “Three Self-Portraits,” created just a few months before his passing. This artwork was recently auctioned at Christie’s in March for £1,462,500 (approximately 65 million baht). Now, after being listed on Binance, it has already received one bid of 2,520,000 BUSD (approximately 80 million baht) at 5 PM Thai time today. The auction will continue for another two days.
Apenft, a renowned art manager in the blockchain world and the minting partner for this artwork, revealed that the winning bidder will not only receive a high-resolution digital file (4000 x 1377 px) but also the physical artwork by Warhol, which will be delivered later.
In addition to the aforementioned artwork, Binance has collaborated with a group of artists to create another 100 pieces inspired by “Three Self-Portraits.” These artworks will be auctioned in the form of NFTs, starting in two days, with a starting price of 1 BNB (approximately 9,600 baht).
The Artwork “The Divine Comedy” by Salvador Dali
The artwork by Dali featured in this auction is “The Divine Comedy,” a legendary set of approximately 200 prints and watercolor images, with each image having both black and white and color versions. These artworks were created in response to an invitation from the Italian government around the year 1950 (B.E. 2493) to commemorate the 700th anniversary of the birth of Italy’s greatest poet of all time, Dante Alighieri. At that time, it sparked a national drama, especially regarding the question of why a Spanish artist was chosen to illustrate the Italian poet’s masterpiece.
In this auction, Binance has transformed various images from “The Divine Comedy” into three versions. Each pixel in the images is replaced with a Binance logo, a Bitcoin symbol, or Dali’s iconic face structure, accompanied by the signature of Changpeng Zhao, the CEO of Binance. These images will be minted in a total of three editions, with some artworks in this set starting the auction at approximately 1 AM Thai time. The opening price for these artworks is around 0.3 BNB (approximately 2,900 baht).
The “Mystery Box” tokidoki x NFT Binance
In addition to the aforementioned auctioned artworks, Binance has also introduced a mystery box collaboration with the brand Tokidoki. There are a total of 16 characters available for a chance to win, with three of them being special editions created in collaboration with Binance. The price for these mystery boxes is set at 20 BUSD (approximately 630+ baht). If you’re interested in collecting these unique characters, the sale will commence at approximately 1 AM Thai time as well.
In addition to the artworks currently open for bidding, there are many other interesting pieces available, including artworks by Palm Instinct and world-class custom shoe artists like Sabotage.
