Crypto Punk 7523 !!! Live Report from Sotheby’s Auction Room at Natively Digital: a Curated NFTs Sale
The CryptoPunk series artwork by Larva Lab with the identification number 7523 (which is an alien with a blue face, only 9 out of a total of 10,000) has recently shattered records, closing at a bidding price of 10 million US dollars or approximately 310 million Thai Baht (excluding fees). This is the highest price ever achieved for this series of artwork, and undoubtedly, it ranks number 1 among the top 10 most expensive NFT artworks at present. Prior to this, in March of this year, two Alien artworks were sold at around 7.5 million US dollars or approximately 223 million Thai Baht (these two artworks also held the top spot in the aforementioned top 10). The auction atmosphere was fast-paced, with the price gradually increasing from 1.5 million to 1.9 million dollars. Then, a bid came in via telephone offering 10 million dollars. Without hesitation, the gavel struck, setting a new historical record in the NFT industry. Stay tuned for the full report of this historic auction. This event marks the first time that Sotheby’s has organized a full-fledged NFT art auction, showcasing it in the world of blockchain.
