After India, Singapore, Turkey, and others have already introduced their cities in the virtual world of blockchain, it is now Thailand’s turn to open its doors for digital land reservations.
Some prominent partners have come on board to support the launch of Thaiverse, including Bitkub, SCB 10X, Kantana, and T&B Media (which is currently developing its own Metaverse, “Translucia”). These collaborations aim to showcase Thai culture in the Metaverse. Based on personal experiences exploring various parts of Thaiverse, it is evident that this virtual space is full of exciting elements like Muay Thai, Pad Thai, and even a virtual concert by Thai girl group 4Eve, held as a Cloud Event in the Metaverse.
How to Purchase Land in The Sandbox
For those interested, you can start by registering to buy one of the 195 available land parcels. The registration is open from now until March 3, 2024, on the official Sandbox website. All available parcels are classified as Regular Land and cost 1,011 Sand tokens, which is equivalent to approximately $550 USD at the current exchange rate. (There will be no Premium Land available in this sale.) Additionally, three estates—two 3×3 plots and one 6×6 plot—will be available for auction on Opensea between March 6 and March 10, 2024.
You can find more details on The Sandbox website.
Previously, The Sandbox had also introduced experiences and avatars, including collaborations with popular Korean series Extraordinary Attorney Woo, creating a heartfelt experience for visitors. Personally, my visit to this experience was both engaging and heartwarming, summarizing the essence of the series beautifully. It’s worth noting how effective this could be as a marketing tool within the Metaverse space.
