AI art museum “DATALAND”, by Refik Anadol Studio, is set to redefine the relationship between technology and creativity in 2025. Located at The Grand LA, a Frank Gehry-designed development in downtown Los Angeles, this museum aim to be a landmark in merging artificial intelligence and data visualization with contemporary art. DATALAND plans to showcase cutting-edge digital installations and immersive experiences, cementing its place in LA’s dynamic cultural landscape.
Helmed by the visionary Refik Anadol, known for pioneering the use of machine learning in visual art and his success in (Non-Fungible Token) NFT world, DATALAND’s inaugural exhibition will unveil the Large Nature Model, a generative AI model powered by nature data (expected to be something similar the way he collected the wave length signal and translated into art in Art Macao 2019). This ambitious project promises to redefine the boundaries of AI-generated art.
The announcement comes at a time when AI’s influence on the art world is growing rapidly. Previously, in March 2023, the Dead End Gallery, the art space primarily focused on AI-driven works, opened in Amsterdam, offering a glimpse into the possible future of AI art in physical spaces. With DATALAND on the horizon, it signals a new chapter in the evolving landscape of AI and the arts.
Will there be more AI Art Museum?
